Designing and building this house has really just been an expensive and time-consuming route to a pantry and a mud room. I am not ready for the big mud room reveal yet, but I am very happy to share the pantry. I needed to feel a sense of accomplishment and success before even attempting to provide guidance to anyone else interested in undergoing this process, a journey really, of designing and building a home. Before embarking on this endeavor, [...] These last couple weeks have been like watching paint dry. Literally. The painters have come in with the initial coat of color. It really helps set the tone for the interior and establishes the narrative of the house. I continue to be very pleased with the seletions and flow. It is a real focal point with several features coming together to create an anchor for the space where we will spend most of our family time. The fireplace is flanked by beautiful cabinets created by Progress Cabinets.
